Why we exist
This wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built after years in the markets and in trader education, watching the same story repeat.
Talent was never the problem.
I’ve educated over 15,000 traders across South Africa, Paris and the United States. The best of them read the market beautifully — and hit the same wall. Their skill was real. Their account balance wasn’t.
Same skill, different life.
A 10% month on a $500 account is $50. The same 10% on a $500,000 account is $50,000. Same decisions, completely different life — so good traders are forced to over-leverage and break their own rules to make a small account matter.
The industry’s answer was a trap.
Pay a fee, pass a challenge, trade "our" capital. Challenge fees stack up with every attempt, rules are engineered so most traders fail, and payouts get delayed or denied. Skilled traders weren’t being funded — too often, they were being farmed.
Leaderboards got it wrong too.
Most trading contests rank one thing: the highest profit. That rewards the biggest gamble, not skill. You don’t crown a boxer for one lucky punch. You crown the fighter who wins round after round.
So we asked a different question: what if proving you can trade didn’t cost you anything? That question became Market Kings.

December 2024
The idea
Market Kings starts with one question, asked after years of teaching traders: what if trading felt like an esport — where skill wins, no one risks their savings, and the leaderboard rewards discipline instead of the biggest gamble?
Early 2025
Design and rules
We design the battle formats, solo missions and the Crown Index — a fair score built on consistency, risk control and skill, not just the size of one win. The rules are written so the honest trader can win.
Mid 2025
Building the arena
The trading terminal comes to life: live market data, real charts, virtual accounts and the first battle formats. Traders can now face off in the same arena, on the same prices, under the same rules.
Late 2025
XP and rewards
We build the XP economy, the Crown Store and cash bonuses — funded by advertisements, sponsorships and Crown Club memberships, never by entry fees or other traders’ losses.
Early 2026
Testing and learning
Traders test pre-launch battles and missions. We simplify the whole experience so a first-timer feels at home in minutes, and we launch Kings Academy — a free, self-paced way to learn the craft before entering the arena.
Mid 2026
Fair play and trust
Every result is executed and recorded on our servers — no screenshots, no edited P&L. Monitoring, anti-cheat checks, identity verification and our public policies are put in place. If the crown can be bought or faked, it’s worthless. So we protect it.
Fall 2026Now
Launch
Market Kings opens to traders worldwide. The throne is still empty — no legend, no record that can’t be broken. This is where we are now.
